    Spinal Cord injury services

Whether a spinal cord injury is due to congenital or other medical conditions or trauma, it has far-reaching effects on the person involved and the people close to them.

At the Complete Group, our focus is to provide the high quality, complex health care and support that adults and children with spinal cord injuries, and their families, require to lead as full and independent lives as possible, in their own homes.

Tailored to individual needs and budgets, whether these are privately funded or via a health or local authority, our care packages also reflect the choices of the individual and their family.

For example, we involve clients in the selection of the personal assistants (PAs) who will provide their day-to-day care, to promote positive client-carer working relationships.

Alongside their induction training, PAs receive client-specific training before starting work with the client. Our PAs are able to deliver specialist support, including ventilator care and respiratory management, gastronomy management and naso-gastric feeding, including medication administration, with the ongoing support and supervision of trained nurses.

With the health, safety and mental and physical well-being of our clients a priority, we work to maximise their independence and quality of life, respecting their dignity and choices.

    • Colin McLeanColin – Client
Colin has had a spinal cord injury for over 18 years at level C6/7. In 2008 Colin had a collapsed lung needing a tracheostomy and his team of PA’s started work in 2010 preparing for him to go home.
Colin says, ‘ My nurse team are very good and his team of PA’s are fantastic. I am lucky to have them and they have a great sense of humour which I feel is important. The whole team get on well together and this helps to create a happy and relaxed, atmosphere’.
