Complex Care Manager
Accountable to: Director of Operations
Responsible for: Under the direction of the Clinical Director, to manage and work with a case load of profoundly injured clients, allocating resources and ensuring high quality care provision is met.

Role Summary
To provide leadership on all Operational issues, liaising with the Clinical Director and mentoring services on all matters impacting upon the business and managing team of care co-ordinators who are responsible for day to day management of individual clients. Both complex and standard clients will be supported. In addition the post holder will head the area managers in conjunction with care managers. This creates the need for developing all manager skills in the allocated area. Co-ordinated team building is instrumental within this role.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide leadership on all non-clinical matters with the allocated client case load.
- To provide a professional service to the Company’s Board of Directors.
- To play a key role in the continuous development of the complete Group.
- To liaise with the Director of Operations / Clinical Director and other key staff in the company.
- To promote best practice and to support innovative solutions across the business.
- To be accountable for the delivery of the company’s operational strategy.
- To promote style of leadership that develops and empowers staff, recognising achievements and providing support and assistance.
- To represent the Complete Groups interests and ensure that the company’s operational implications of the National Care Standards are taken into account.
- To drive and lead recruitment for the allocated client case load, liaising with the Recruitment Manager.
Key Result Areas
Operational Planning:
- To contribute to the planning of resources, including Care Co-ordinators and employees in the field, liaising with the Recruitment, Training and Personnel functions.
- Implement change and improvement in services and systems.
- Complete and evaluate quality assurance systems.
- Set work objectives and targets for Care Co-ordinators, to include client referrals and recruitment of employees.
- To organise and head an area of the business, working with other managers to ensure a co-ordinated service is available.
Operational Delivery:
- To provide an effective and responsible Care Co-ordinator Team.
- To ensure that the Company meets all the requirements of the Care Quality Commission Standards in matters relating to the delivery of its service provision.
- To ensure promotion of the Company’s operational strategy.
- To develop the senior managers in the allocated area developing team work throughout the group.
- Develop the Care Co-ordinator Team to enhance performance and improve Care provision.
- To participate in the organisation of workload to meet the needs of the Care Managers and Care Co-ordinators teams, in the event of sickness/holiday cover, within agreed perimeters, to ensure that the service is maintained.
- To act as a role model of high quality care provision, to coach, guide and develop staff in delivering a high quality service.
- To liaise effectively with service users, carers and other professionals as appropriate
- To ensure that the Groups policies and procedures are adhered to all times.
Operational Services:
- To ensure the effective management of staff and resources within the client case load.
- Management and control of resources, including people and budgets.
- Ensure that the rights of the service user are upheld and promoted at all times, assuring principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.
- Strive to ensure client satisfaction.
- To complete all paperwork required prior to commencement of a care package.
