Team Leader in a client’s home looking after a ventilator/phrenic nerve pace individual. Responsible for all holistic care. Responsible for the ongoing care of client, maintenance of equipment and liaison with parent hospital and local Primary Health Care Team to achieve high level of health and independence. Responsible for the recruitment and training of Personal Assistants and Nurses for clients. Involved with supporting other Nurses and Personal Assistants who care for highly dependent clients both with care issues and training. Currently doing NVQ Assessors training.

Sister in charge of a local nursing home.
  Responsible for all nursing care of the elderly and infirm. Taking charge of home when on duty. Including supervision of untrained and ancillary staff. Responsible for appropriate liaison with any member of Primary Health Care Team.
Sept. 1989 – April 1988

F Grade Sister on the Midland Spinal Injuries Unit.

  Was responsible for the day-to-day running of the wards, which dealt with patients of all suffering from spinal cord injury or disease resulting in varying degrees of paralysis. Actively involved with standard setting on the Unit. Part of the team which developed nursing guidelines for the Hospital on a rota basis took managerial nursing charge of the Hospital. Specific Responsibility for Tissue viability standards on the unit in all nursing practice.
